Asia and Oceania has the most Kpop fans (70.59 million members at 457 Fan Clubs), followed by America (11.8 million members at 712 Fan Clubs), Europe (6.57 million members at 534 Fan Clubs), and Africa and the Middle East (6.57 million members at 534 Fan Clubs) (230,000 members at 140 Fan Clubs).
In Japan, the number of hallyu enthusiasts has more than quadrupled, growing by over 300,000. In other regions of Asia, fandom continues to expand at a rapid pace. Hallyu Fan Clubs continue to operate on a regular basis across Europe and Latin America, while the number of hallyu fans continues to expand in Africa and the Middle East.
The Korea Foundation advises that hallyu fans receive further policy consideration as they become the primary consumers of Korean cosmetics, tourism, and other industries, and forecasts that fan numbers will reach 100 million by 2020.
