Is working as a florist in Norway actually worth it?

I’ve been thinking about trying something new abroad and recently started looking into florist jobs in Norway. It looks like there are quite a few вакансий, and some even say you don’t need a lot of experience to get started, which sounds a bit too easy honestly.

But I’m not sure how realistic it is. I get that it’s not just about making bouquets — you probably have to deal with customers, handle orders, maybe even help with events. Sounds simple on paper, but in reality it’s probably more stressful.

Also, I keep wondering about the money side. Salaries seem okay at first glance, but Norway is expensive, so I’m not convinced you can actually save anything. And what about language — is English enough or do you really need Norwegian to survive in this job?

If anyone here actually worked as a florist in Norway, I’d like to hear the real situation, not just what job listings promise.

It sounds simple on paper, but yeah, in reality it’s more than just arranging flowers — you deal with customers, timing, and sometimes stressful orders, especially around events. I also thought it might be “too easy” at first, but once you look deeper, you see there’s more going on behind the scenes. When I was checking options, I took some time to go through different listings just to understand what employers actually expect. It gave me a more realistic picture of duties and conditions. From what I’ve seen, it can be worth it, but only if you’re ready for the pace and the cost of living there.
